Description

Welfare social workers conduct face-to-face consultations with users facing diverse challenges such as housing, employment, family relationships, and health issues, introducing and coordinating appropriate services and systems. They also collaborate with care managers, doctors, government offices, NPOs, and other multidisciplinary professionals to develop, implement, and evaluate support plans. They work in community comprehensive support centers, welfare offices, social welfare councils, hospitals, disability facilities, elderly facilities, and more, while also proposing and developing support models in response to institutional changes and regional needs.

Due to the aging population with fewer children and increasing needs for support for those in poverty, the importance of welfare consultation services is rising, with a stable increase in job openings expected.
