Industry & Occupation

Engineering & Manufacturing

Classification

Summary

Manufacturing worker who operates a warping machine to warp the warp yarns for looms, preparing for the weaving process.

Description

Warper operators use warping machines (warpers) to handle the process of arranging multiple yarns at regular intervals with uniform tension. They draw raw yarns from yarn packages, perform tension adjustments when winding onto beams, detect yarn breaks, monitor machine operation, and respond to and adjust any abnormalities. Since the warped warp yarns are supplied to the subsequent weaving process, accuracy and stable quality maintenance are required. They perform daily machine maintenance inspections and simple maintenance, contributing to production line efficiency and trouble prevention.

Future Outlook

Although the domestic textile industry is in a shrinking trend, demand for specialized technicians in the production of high-value-added products is expected to be maintained. With the advancement of automation and labor-saving technologies, skills in maintenance and programming are becoming increasingly important alongside machine operation.
