Description

Vaccine production technicians handle the entire manufacturing process of vaccines using cell lines, viruses, or recombinant proteins. They perform equipment operations and process monitoring for each process from cell culture and fermentation under aseptic conditions, harvesting, purification, freeze-drying, sterilization, formulation, to final product filling and packaging. They implement quality control and documentation management in compliance with GMP. They also handle optimization of manufacturing conditions, scale-up, troubleshooting, and support for new product introduction, collaborating with manufacturing, quality assurance (QA), quality control (QC), and development departments to promote process improvements and the introduction of new technologies. The main work is shift work in cleanrooms.

With increasing demand for pandemic countermeasures and new vaccine development, job demand is expected to remain stable. Acquiring next-generation manufacturing technologies such as mRNA vaccines will enhance market value.
