Description

Torque converter assemblers are engaged in the manufacturing process of torque converters used in automotive automatic transmissions. Based on work instructions and drawings, they assemble parts such as impellers, turbines, stators, and housings, and use presses and assembly jigs for positioning and press-fitting parts. After assembly, they perform dimensional inspections using calipers and micrometers, torque inspections with torque wrenches, leak tests, and other quality inspections to ship products that meet standards. The work is mainly line work, but may also involve defect analysis and improvement proposals.
