Thread washing workers are responsible for removing impurities such as oils and fats, dust, sizing agents, etc., attached to threads used in pretreatment processes for spinning and weaving. They perform immersion, washing, and rinsing processes using water or chemicals, and handle threads with dedicated machines or by hand. After the work, threads are dried in dryers, undergo quality inspection, and are supplied to the next process. Safety and hygiene management, precautions in handling chemicals, machine inspections, and simple maintenance are also included in the duties.
Future Outlook
Although part of the textile industry is shifting overseas, demand for high-value-added fibers and domestically produced fibers remains stable. With advances in labor-saving and automation, there is expected to be continued demand for machine operators and quality control personnel.
