Classification

Summary

A job that inspects the thickness, twist, color unevenness, foreign matter inclusion, etc., of yarn produced in the spinning process and sorts out defective products.

Description

Thread inspectors inspect cotton yarn, chemical fiber yarn, etc., produced in spinning and winding processes using visual inspection, magnifying glasses, microscopes, and inspection machines. They detect defects such as twisting failures, thickness variations, color unevenness, foreign matter contamination, knots, etc., and remove and classify non-standard products. They also record inspection data, create reports, collaborate with quality control personnel, and in some cases, perform simple machine adjustments and re-knotting work.

Future Outlook

While the introduction of automatic inspection devices is progressing, human visual inspection remains important for detecting minute defects, so a certain level of demand is expected to be maintained. As quality management becomes more advanced, skills in machine operation and data analysis will be required.
