Thread Inspection Finisher
Industry & Occupation
Classification
Summary
Manufacturing worker who inspects and sorts the quality of thread after the spinning process, removes defective products, and performs finishing processes.
Description
Thread Inspection Finishers feed raw thread that has completed the spinning process into inspection lines and confirm yarn diameter, color tone, strength, foreign matter inclusion, etc., using visual inspection or inspection equipment. Defective areas that do not meet standards are removed by hand or with automatic devices, and finishing processes such as splicing and winding are carried out. Thread is adjusted to shapes and dimensions suitable for the next processes of weaving or knitting. Inspection results are recorded, reported and analyzed as quality control data, and proposals for process improvements may also be made.
Future Outlook
Although Japan's domestic spinning industry is on a shrinking trend, the need for personnel with specialized skills is expected to continue due to the demand for rigorous quality control and adaptability to automation technologies.
