Summary
This occupation involves assembling, adjusting, and inspecting frequency meters or similar precision measuring instruments used in telephone networks.
Description
Telephone Dial Assemblers assemble precision measuring instruments that constitute parts of telephone functions, such as rotary dials or electronic counters. They arrange and fix mechanical and electronic parts based on drawings, perform soldering and tightening with torque drivers. Afterward, they calibrate operation and accuracy using dedicated measuring devices, and conduct quality inspections and record them. They work in production lines or small-lot production sites, and may also be involved in optimizing manufacturing processes.
Future Outlook
While automation and robotization of communication equipment will lead to some labor reduction, the demand remains stable as high-precision assembly still requires human hands.
