Telecommunications line laying workers lay telecommunications cables such as fiber optic cables, telephone lines, and coaxial cables using overhead lines or underground conduits, and perform appropriate connection work. They transport and install cable drums on site, pull out cables, thread them through clamps or protective tubes, and connect them using splicing techniques. They use measurement equipment such as OTDR to check communication quality, and also perform repairs and maintenance on faulty areas. The work is mainly outdoors, involving trench excavation, high-altitude work, and nighttime construction. Safety management and team coordination are important.
