Description

Water quality analysts at water treatment facilities such as water purification plants and sewage treatment plants measure and analyze pH, BOD, COD, dissolved oxygen, etc., in collected water samples. They perform chemical analyses using reagents and operate instruments such as spectrophotometers and ion chromatographs, compile and analyze measurement data. Based on the results, they propose optimizations for water quality management and equipment operation conditions, and prepare reports. They understand safety management and quality control methods, and are involved in compliance with laws and maintaining internal standards.
