Summary

A job that operates, inspects, and maintains transmission lines and substation equipment delivering power from power plants to substations, supporting stable power supply.

Description

Transmission line operators perform switching operations, inspections, maintenance, and emergency restoration during failures to stably transmit power from power plants to substations via high-voltage transmission lines. During regular inspections, they check for damage and contamination on insulators and conductors, conducting insulation resistance measurements and thermal imaging inspections. If abnormalities are found, they arrange for repairs or replacements. Additionally, during lightning strikes or faults, they direct rapid restoration work, identify outage areas, switch to backup lines, and aim to resume power supply. There is a lot of outdoor high-altitude work and work under harsh weather conditions, making strict adherence to safety procedures and team coordination essential.
