Small animal clinical veterinarians manage the health of companion animals such as dogs and cats, diagnose and treat diseases, perform surgeries, provide emergency care, and conduct preventive medicine (vaccinations and parasite prevention). They diagnose through history taking, physical examinations, blood tests, ultrasound examinations, X-ray examinations, etc., and perform surgical operations and dental treatments under anesthesia management. They also explain to and advise pet owners, and handle ongoing follow-ups. While acquiring the latest medical technologies and veterinary knowledge, they collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve animals' QOL.
