Industry & Occupation

Engineering & Manufacturing

Classification

Summary

Sensor assemblers assemble, adjust, and inspect parts of electronic sensors (sensors) such as proximity sensors and temperature sensors, and are manufacturing workers.

Description

Sensor assemblers attach sensor elements and electronic components to boards or housings, perform soldering and wiring, and are responsible for operation inspection, calibration, and adjustment. They use dedicated tools and measuring instruments (testers, micrometers, oscilloscopes, etc.) to ensure product performance and quality. Based on work instructions and drawings, they carry out assembly and inspection efficiently according to procedures. In case of defects, they identify causes, take measures, and may also make improvement proposals. Line production and shift work are common, and work is often done in clean rooms or environments with static electricity measures.

Future Outlook

With the advancement of IoT and automation technologies, the sensor market is expanding, and demand for assembly of high-precision and miniaturized sensors is expected to increase. Although automation lines will progress, there is expected to be a certain level of demand remaining for skilled manual work.
