Summary
A technical job that cuts, forms, welds, and assembles metal plates to manufacture tanks and pressure vessels for storing and transporting liquids and gases.
Description
The Tank Fabricator uses drawings created by engineers or the design department as a basis, cuts steel or stainless steel plates, performs bending and hole drilling, and then joins them using arc welding, TIG welding, or gas welding to manufacture tanks and pressure vessels. Since processing accuracy and welding quality directly affect safety and durability, work is performed while measuring with surface plates, calipers, etc. It also requires various on-site skills such as operating cranes and forklifts, and assembling scaffolding. There is much high-altitude work and handling of heavy objects, requiring physical strength and safety awareness.
