Description

Seafood manufacturing technicians start with incoming inspection of raw fish and shellfish materials, and manage and operate various processing steps such as sterilization treatment, freezing and drying, canning, and vacuum packaging. They implement hygiene management based on HACCP and quality inspections (microbial testing and sensory evaluation) to ensure product safety and compliance with standards. They also handle a wide range of tasks, including production line efficiency improvements, productivity enhancement through the introduction of new technologies, cost management, and maintenance of traceability. Expertise is required in new product development, improvement of existing products, equipment maintenance, and compliance with laws and regulations. The work primarily involves shift-based standing work in factories.
