Industry & Occupation
Classification
Summary
This occupation involves separating and recovering the soap base from the reaction solution after saponification in the soap manufacturing process using salting-out, separating glycerin and others, and obtaining soap products.
Description
Salting-out workers, in the soap manufacturing process, perform operations to separate and recover soap components generated by saponification reaction and liquid by-products (such as glycerin) using salting-out agents like table salt. They add salting-out agents to the reaction solution transferred from the reaction kettle, control temperature and stirring conditions to precipitate the soap base, and collect solids through filtration or centrifugal separation. The recovered base is sent to the molding machine after washing, dehydration, and drying, and handed over to subsequent molding and packaging processes. The work requires handling of chemical agents, machine operation, quality inspections such as pH and saponification degree measurement, and safety and health management.
