Classification

Summary

A profession that manufactures rubber fenders (rubber fenders). Responsible for processes from raw material compounding, kneading, molding, vulcanization, to inspection.

Description

Rubber fender manufacturing workers produce rubber fenders used for shock absorption on ships and port facilities. In the factory, the process starts with compounding and kneading raw rubber, forming the product shape using molding machines or injection molding equipment. Then, in the vulcanization (sulfur crosslinking) process, the rubber is hardened, accuracy and hardness are measured, and dimensional and appearance inspections are conducted. Operation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, as well as safety and health management, are also part of the duties.
