Railway vehicle electrical equipment development engineers design electrical equipment such as control devices, power supplies, and communication devices installed in vehicles from scratch, and are responsible for prototype creation, evaluation testing, reliability analysis, and mass production design. They perform circuit design based on safety standards and EMC requirements, including firmware development and implementation of digital controls. They collaborate with mechanical design, quality assurance, and production technology inside and outside the department, conduct analysis and improvements when problems occur, and attend suitability tests at delivery sites and on-site. They keep abreast of the latest materials and technological trends to promote higher reliability, miniaturization and lightweighting, and energy efficiency of products.
