They measure the user's body type, take molds using 3D scanning or hand tools, use resin and metal processing techniques, CAD/CAM operations for design through forming, assembly, detailed finishing, and adjustment. After fabrication, they make corrections based on feedback on fit and movement, and collaborate with rehabilitation specialists and prosthetists/orthotists to provide the optimal prosthetic or orthotic device.
