Description

Production Engineering Technicians (Production Engineering Engineers) design and improve the entire production process in manufacturing sites, from production planning, process design, equipment selection and introduction, line layout optimization, to quality control. They utilize various technologies such as FA and PLC programming, equipment design using 3D CAD, automation technology, and IoT sensor data utilization to promote smart factories, achieving cost reduction and improved safety. They also lead ongoing Kaizen activities, including coordination with departments and vendors, instructions and training for on-site workers, quality improvement using Statistical Process Control (SPC), and problem analysis and improvement proposals during troubles.

Future Outlook

The advancement of smart factories using IoT and AI will increase the demand for technicians skilled in advanced automation and data utilization. Efforts toward environmental response, decarbonization, and sustainable production will also become more important.
