Power line lineman (distribution lines) is a specialist who constructs, maintains, and inspects distribution lines to deliver electricity to homes and businesses. Performs installation and renovation of utility poles, attachment of insulators and hardware, replacement and tension adjustment of overhead wires, connection work to transformers and switches, live-line work without outages, and more. Much of the work is at heights, using dedicated equipment such as safety belts and hot sticks, and strictly adhering to safety regulations.
