Description
Plastic mold fabricators create molds used in injection molding, blow molding, etc. They read dimensions from design drawings, cut metal using machine tools such as milling machines and machining centers, and finish to high precision with polishing and hand finishing. After completion, they perform mold fitting and trial shots to confirm and adjust the product shape and dimensions. They also handle creation of machining data using CAD/CAM software, EDM processing, assembly, and maintenance tasks.
