Classification

Summary

Plastic lining workers apply and line plastic resin on the inner surfaces of tanks and pipes to prevent corrosion and improve wear resistance.

Description

Plastic lining workers apply epoxy resin or polyurethane resin to the inner surfaces of chemical plants, sewage and water supply facilities, storage tanks, etc., to form a lining film. Before starting work, they clean and shape the surface using blasting or sandpaper polishing to ensure adhesion. They measure and mix the resin, and cure it to the specified layer thickness and temperature. After curing, they perform film thickness measurement and appearance inspection, and carry out repairs as necessary. Since organic solvents and dust are handled during the work, wearing safety equipment and ensuring proper ventilation are required.

Future Outlook

Demand for anti-corrosion lining remains stable due to plant longevity and strengthened environmental regulations. There is a possibility of introducing labor-saving and automation technologies in the future.
