Description
Plastic extrusion molding workers heat pellet-shaped resin and extrude it with a screw through a die while forming it into the product shape. They start up the molding machine, replace dies, set temperature and pressure, adjust extrusion speed, monitor cooling and take-up devices, inspect product dimensions and appearance, analyze and adjust causes of defects, and perform regular machine maintenance. To ensure stable line operation and quality maintenance, safety and hygiene management as well as adherence to work standards are required.
Future Outlook
Due to the increasing demand for recycling of plastic products and alternative materials, skills in handling recycled materials and bio-plastic extrusion molding technology are required.
