Pipe making machinery design engineers are specialists who design and develop equipment for manufacturing metal pipes and tubes. They are responsible for the entire process, from gathering customer requirements and concept design, to detailed design using 3D CAD, evaluation through material strength and structural analysis (FEA), selection of mechanical elements (gears, bearings, rollers, etc.), creation of mechanical drawings and specification documents, design of hydraulic/pneumatic circuits and control systems, prototyping, installation, trial operation, and post-mass-production improvements and maintenance support.
