Petroleum Product Manufacturing Engineer (Excluding Production Engineers) is responsible for operating and managing the refining and manufacturing of petroleum products such as gasoline, diesel, kerosene, and lubricating oils at refineries and petrochemical plants. Monitors and adjusts temperature, pressure, and flow rates using control systems like DCS, and conducts quality checks using analytical instruments. In case of abnormalities, quickly identifies causes and implements measures. It is also important to create inspection plans based on safety and environmental regulations and collaborate with the maintenance department, supporting 24-hour plant operations through shift work.

Future Outlook

Japan's petroleum refining industry will continue production adjustments due to changes in energy supply and demand and decarbonization policies, but demand for advanced specialization of technical experts is expected to be maintained through shifts to advanced chemical products and biofuels, and promotion of DX.
