Classification

Summary

Non-ferrous metal melting furnace workers melt non-ferrous metals such as aluminum and copper in high-temperature melting furnaces, manage quality, and supply them for casting or forming in the manufacturing industry.

Description

Non-ferrous metal melting furnace workers charge raw materials of non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper, and titanium into high-temperature melting furnaces for melting and refining. They handle a series of processes including furnace inspection, startup and shutdown, raw material charging, measurement and control of temperature and metal composition, deoxidation and degassing treatment, slag removal, tapping (molten metal) operations, and sampling and analysis of molten metal. They thoroughly manage safety and the environment, and perform regular inspections and maintenance of equipment. High-precision temperature control and composition adjustment are required, working collaboratively in lines or teams to maintain production efficiency and quality.

Future Outlook

With the increasing demand for lightweight metals for renewable energy and electric vehicles, advancements and automation in non-ferrous metal melting technology are expected. Concerns about labor shortages due to the aging of skilled workers persist, and improving production efficiency through DX and AI control is a challenge.
