Description

Multicrystalline silicon manufacturing workers use chemical vapor deposition (CVD) processes such as the Siemens method to produce high-purity silicon as multicrystalline ingots, and further process them into wafer form through cutting and polishing. They adjust raw material gases and silicon raw materials, control reactor temperature and pressure, monitor crystal growth rates, and manage safety and quality. Since the processes involve high-temperature environments and hazardous gases, strict procedures and safety measures are required. The completed multicrystalline silicon is used as substrates for solar cells and some semiconductor applications.
