Classification

Summary

Manufacturing technician who uses automatic mounting machines or manual labor to mount electronic components on printed circuit boards, and performs processes from soldering to inspection and functional verification.

Description

Module mounting board manufacturing workers use SMT (Surface Mount Technology) equipment, reflow ovens, flow soldering machines, and other facilities to accurately place and solder electronic components on printed circuit boards. They perform manual soldering of tiny components, check quality through AOI (Automated Optical Inspection), visual inspection, and microscopic inspection, and rework defective areas. They thoroughly implement ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) measures, record production data based on work instructions and BOM (Bill of Materials), and also engage in production line startup, equipment adjustment, and maintenance. They may also make improvement proposals to enhance quality and yield.

Future Outlook

Although automation will advance with the spread of IoT and smart factories, skilled workers responsible for precision mounting and quality control will continue to have stable demand.
