Description
Electric meter assemblers assemble printed circuit boards and mechanical parts according to specified processes, and perform soldering and wiring tasks. After completion, they use measuring instruments such as testers and oscilloscopes to inspect and adjust electrical characteristics and measurement accuracy, confirming that the product meets specifications. Work combines manual labor and semi-automatic equipment, and they are also responsible for quality control and identifying defective products. Most work is done on factory production lines, adhering to ESD measures and safety rules. Initially, skills are acquired through OJT, and with experience, they can advance to line leader, quality control, equipment maintenance, etc.
Future Outlook
Amid advancing automation and IoT in manufacturing processes, simple assembly tasks are decreasing, but higher-level skills will be required, such as high-precision calibration, equipment maintenance, and transitioning to line automation technicians.
