Lithium battery development engineers handle a wide range of tasks from developing and optimizing cathode and anode materials, electrolytes, and separators, to cell structure design, prototype fabrication and evaluation, and safety testing. They collaborate with universities, in-house research institutes, and manufacturing departments to promote product development that meets the needs of the EV and energy storage system markets through scale-up for practical use, introduction of mass production technologies, and application of quality management techniques (FMEA, QC process charts).
