Description
Lapping machine operators use a polishing machine called a lapping machine to perform fine dimensional adjustments and surface finishing on metal parts. The operator secures the workpiece in a chuck or jig, selects and applies abrasive compound, and performs polishing on a rotating plate. During polishing, measurements are taken periodically with a micrometer or surface roughness meter, and polishing conditions are adjusted as necessary. After completion, dimensions and surface condition are checked until it passes quality inspection, and approved products are passed to the next process. Primarily standing work in the factory, requiring measures against noise and dust, as well as safety and hygiene management.
