Summary

This occupation involves conducting experiments, analyses, and tests to evaluate the quality and physical properties of raw materials and products for chemical fertilizers, supporting quality control in the manufacturing process.

Description

Lab Technicians (Chemical Fertilizer Manufacturing) are responsible for collecting samples of raw materials and products for chemical fertilizers and measuring and analyzing pH, component concentrations, physical properties, etc. They use analytical instruments such as titration, absorbance measurement, gas chromatography (GC), and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) to acquire data and report accurate test results. Based on the obtained data, they propose improvements to manufacturing processes and testing methods, collaborate with quality control and manufacturing departments to reduce defects and improve quality. They are also involved in laboratory safety management, maintenance of reagents and equipment, and development and improvement of testing methods. Appropriate quality management based on laws, standards (JIS, ISO/IEC 17025, etc.) is required.

Future Outlook

With strengthening quality regulations for chemical fertilizers and advancements in environmental response technologies, the importance of analysis and testing operations is increasing. On the other hand, the introduction of automated analysis devices and AI data analysis is progressing, leading to efficiency improvements, so acquiring these technologies will lead to increased market value in the future.
