Description

Engineering vessel navigators board work vessels (construction ships, etc.) for ocean construction, surveys, and resource development, handling route planning, ship handling and monitoring, collection and analysis of meteorological and sea condition information, ship communication, and safety management. They perform bridge watch duties, create navigation logs, submit various reports, respond to emergencies, and conduct safety training guidance. During navigation, they operate navigation equipment such as radar, GPS, and ECDIS, perform position confirmation on charts, avoid drifting objects, and advanced ship handling skills are required. For international routes, communication in English and compliance with regulations are necessary.
