Classification

Summary

Production equipment operator who operates knitting machines to knit textile products and clothing.

Description

Knitting machine operators set yarn on knitting machines that produce knit products, and are responsible for machine operation management, operation and adjustment, quality inspection, and maintenance. They check for loose stitches or defective products, make fine adjustments or corrections if there are defects, and also perform maintenance tasks such as lubrication and parts replacement. They manage production volume based on production plans and optimize the efficiency of the entire line. When abnormalities occur, they are required to quickly identify the cause, contact repair services, or perform initial responses. Much of the work is done in teams, and the ability to maintain stable quality in mass production is necessary.

Future Outlook

Due to fluctuations in clothing demand and advances in automation, the introduction of automatic monitoring systems for machines will progress, but the demand for skilled operators is expected to be maintained to a certain extent.
