Summary

A job that assembles parts of industrial machinery using tools such as torque wrenches and drivers based on drawings and manuals, and performs quality inspections.

Description

Machine parts assemblers follow product design drawings and work manuals to assemble parts that constitute industrial machinery and equipment using hand tools or simple machines. After assembly, they measure dimensions with vernier calipers or micrometers and perform visual inspections to confirm quality. If there are abnormalities or defects, they report and record them and also participate in process improvements. Line work and shift work are common, and teamwork and safety management are important. They are also involved in productivity improvements through 5S and Kaizen activities.

Future Outlook

While automation and robotization in manufacturing are advancing, demand for personnel with advanced assembly skills remains stably consistent. With the sophistication of tasks due to IoT and smart factories, opportunities to acquire specialized skills are expected to increase.
