The Hand Papermaking Apprentice is the initial stage for learning the traditional hand-sheet making technique to produce paper. The formed paper is transferred to a coucher (release cloth), then pressed, dried, and finished. The work involves a lot of standing in high humidity environments and requires delicate handiwork. Under the master's guidance, through repeated training, they acquire sheet-forming techniques, quality inspection, and equipment management methods, aiming to become an independent papermaker or traditional craft artisan in the future.
