Responsible for a variety of tasks based on national security policies, including fleet operations in maritime operational areas, development of action plans for defense ships, and coordination for participation in international joint exercises. After completing the Officer Candidate Course, demonstrates specialized knowledge and leadership in tactics, equipment, and command and control, while working to develop subordinates and maintain and improve the unit's combat readiness posture.
