Water purification plant technicians monitor, operate, and maintain the entire series of water treatment processes from raw water intake to sedimentation, filtration, and disinfection based on the Waterworks Law, supplying safe drinking water. They conduct water quality analysis, dilution and dosage adjustment of chemical agents, operation and inspection of pumps, piping equipment, and instrumentation control systems, and promptly identify causes and take action in case of abnormalities. They also handle regular maintenance, statutory inspections, record-keeping and reporting tasks, and efforts toward energy conservation and optimization of operation costs.
