Description

Internal Combustion Engine Development Engineer (Excluding Design) is a position responsible for planning engine tests from bench tests, on-vehicle tests, and field tests, including data collection and analysis. Conducts combustion tests, durability tests, exhaust gas measurements, etc., and performs technical verification for performance improvements and regulatory compliance. Utilizes 3D-CFD, simulation tools, and data processing with MATLAB or Python, proposes engine control (ECU) adjustments and material/part improvements based on the results, and collaborates with the development team to achieve high-efficiency, low-emission engines.

Future Outlook

Although demand for internal combustion engines is declining due to the progress of electrification, demand for specialized engineers continues in fields such as environmental regulation compliance and development of high-efficiency engines for hybrids. Expected to play an active role in fuel diversification and CO2 reduction technologies.
