Classification

Summary

A technical position responsible for designing and managing the entire manufacturing process of industrial ceramics, from raw material selection and mixing to forming, firing, finishing, and quality inspection, ensuring stable production and quality improvement.

Description

Industrial ceramics manufacturing engineers handle the production of ceramics materials used in a wide range of industrial applications, such as refractories, electronic components, and sensor elements. They are responsible for raw material powder preparation and mixing, optimization of forming processes like press forming, injection molding, and slip casting, as well as setting and managing drying and firing conditions. They operate firing furnaces, presses, and analytical equipment (XRD, SEM, hardness testers, etc.) to inspect and evaluate quality. Using techniques such as statistical process control (SPC) and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), they analyze defect causes and implement process improvements. To ensure stable operation of production lines, cost reduction, and product performance enhancement, they collaborate with other departments and suppliers while also engaging in technology development and mass production launches.

Future Outlook

Demand is expanding in cutting-edge fields such as electric vehicle components, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, and high-performance sensors. There is a need for high-value-added domestic production and process automation technology, and the demand for highly skilled manufacturing engineers is on the rise.
