Description
Grinding wheel firing workers handle the manufacturing process for grinding wheels used in grinding. They properly mix abrasives such as alumina and silica with binders, process them into predetermined shapes using forming machines, pass through a drying process, and fire them at high temperatures of about 1200°C in kilns. After firing, they inspect the hardness, dimensions, appearance, etc., of the products and direct those meeting the standards to shipment. Depending on their proficiency, they also manage firing curve settings, fine adjustments to kiln temperatures, product weight balance, etc., and are required to have the ability to respond to quality issues.
