Classification

Summary

Technical role involving assembling parts of general-purpose, production, and business machinery and equipment using tools, inspecting and adjusting operations and dimensions, and managing manufacturing processes to meet quality standards.

Description

Assemblers of general-purpose, production, and business machinery and equipment work in manufacturing sites assembling parts for various machinery and equipment (machine tools, packaging machines, beverage production equipment, etc.) from consumer to business use. They perform fitting of parts, screw tightening, torque management, bearing insertion, and wiring/piping installation manually or with power tools, and conduct dimensional inspections and operational tests using calipers and micrometers. After assembly, they perform performance tests and operational checks, making adjustments or corrections as needed. They work efficiently according to production plans and quality standards, supporting stable manufacturing through team collaboration. In recent years, skills in automation equipment and collaborative robots are also required.

Future Outlook

Amid advancing automation and robotization in manufacturing, demand for assembly of precision machinery requiring high assembly skills is expected to remain stable or increase. There is future potential in adapting to IoT and smart factories.
