Description

Formwork erectors handle formwork and shoring necessary for concrete placement in architectural and civil engineering structures. They read design and construction drawings, measure dimensions, mark out positions, and assemble formwork made of timber, plywood, or steel. After assembly, they check accuracy using spirit levels or laser levels. Once concrete placement is complete, they dismantle and remove the formwork. On site, they coordinate with cranes and forklifts, wear safety belts and protective gear, and work at heights or in confined spaces. Team coordination and safety management are essential.
