Flock Print Processor
フロッキープリントかこうこう
Industry & Occupation
Classification
Summary
Specialist who applies flocking processing to the surface of textile products using the flock print technique by combining adhesive and fibers.
Description
Flock print processors apply adhesive to the surfaces of textile products, paper, leather, etc., and attach short fibers (flock) such as nylon or rayon to achieve a flocked finish. Before starting work, they prepare the adhesive and set up the flock printing machine. They attach fibers at a uniform density, remove excess flock, and then dry and cure it. During the process, they adjust temperature, wind speed, and fiber particle size, and inspect for defects. They also perform regular maintenance and cleaning of machines, and manage safety and hygiene to stabilize quality.
Future Outlook
Although the number of job openings is limited due to the shrinking domestic textile industry, demand for flocking technology for high-value-added products will be maintained to a certain extent. Introduction of automation and labor-saving equipment is expected to simplify some processes.
