Classification

Summary

Operator who polymerizes vinyl chloride monomer to produce polyvinyl chloride resin (PVC). Handles management of reaction conditions, quality inspection, safety, and environmental conservation.

Description

Vinyl chloride manufacturing workers polymerize vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) under a catalyst to produce polyvinyl chloride resin. They are responsible for a series of processes from raw material blending and weighing, setting operating parameters for reaction vessels, post-reaction devolatilization, granulation and drying, to packaging and inspection of final products. They monitor temperature, pressure, and flow rates on equipment control panels and respond promptly in case of abnormalities. Furthermore, they comply with environmental regulations by operating wastewater treatment and waste gas recovery equipment, and regularly perform safety inspections and maintenance work. Through team information sharing, recording and analysis of production data, they contribute to stable production and prevention of troubles.

Future Outlook

PVC is widely used in building materials, automotive parts, etc., and stable demand is expected. Due to environmental regulations, energy conservation, and the introduction of automation technologies, demand for technicians skilled in process control and data analysis will increase.
