The Electrical Machinery and Equipment Characteristics Test Technician designs and conducts tests to evaluate electrical characteristics (such as voltage, current, resistance, and insulation withstand voltage) and mechanical characteristics (such as torque, rotational speed, and vibration) for electrical machinery and equipment like motors, generators, and transformers. Operates oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, temperature and vibration test equipment, etc., to collect measurement data. Processes data with Excel or dedicated analysis software, verifies compliance with standards such as JIS and IEC, and prepares reports. Works in manufacturing sites, research institutes, test centers, etc., and also handles equipment calibration, troubleshooting, and improvements to test procedures.
