Classification
Summary
Electric motor adjusters are skilled workers who perform performance testing, adjustment, and maintenance of electric motors and generators.
Description
Responsible for various measurement and adjustment tasks such as adjusting the gap between rotor and stator, balancing, insulation resistance measurement, load testing, and vibration testing for electric motors used mainly in factories and plants. Maintains and restores specified performance through replacement of insulating materials and winding parts, adjustment of brushes and commutators, and optimization of mechanical clearances. Required to analyze data using dedicated measuring instruments and analysis devices, identify causes of defects, and implement countermeasures. Also involved in improving work procedures and prototyping/evaluation of new products in collaboration with design and maintenance departments.
Future Outlook
Due to the demand for higher efficiency and energy-saving in motors, the demand for precision adjustment technology is expected to remain stable. Applications are also anticipated in new fields such as electric vehicles and wind turbine generators, and market value is expected to remain high in the future.
