Classification
Summary
Manufacturing job that assembles mechanical and electrical components constituting electric chain blocks (hoists), and adjusts and inspects them.
Description
Electric chain assemblers assemble mechanical parts such as motors, gears, and chains, along with control electrical components, tighten and wire them to specified torque, and conduct operation inspections and durability tests. Following drawings and specifications, they accurately assemble using hand tools, torque wrenches, and soldering irons, and after completion, check for abnormalities through operation sounds and load tests. They keep inspection records aligned with quality control standards, and in case of defects, identify causes and perform adjustments or repairs. The main work centers on assembly on production lines or by hand.
Future Outlook
With the automation of manufacturing and introduction of IoT technology, demand for assembly skills that achieve high precision and labor saving will increase, while robotization will mechanize tasks, changing job content. Skill succession and multi-skilling are expected to be challenges.
