Industry & Occupation

Engineering & Manufacturing

Classification

Summary

Manufacturing operator who melts metal in a melting furnace, injects and shapes it into molds under high pressure, and produces cast parts.

Description

Molten metal injection workers (die casting) melt metal alloys such as aluminum and zinc in melting furnaces, and use injection equipment to inject them into molds under high pressure to shape them. After shaping, they remove the products, perform deburring, heat treatment, dimensional inspection, and other quality controls. They also handle mold attachment and detachment, setting injection conditions (temperature, pressure, speed), equipment maintenance, and safety and health management, supporting stable production in mass production environments.

Future Outlook

While die-cast parts have stable demand in automobiles and electrical components, robotization and automation are advancing, increasing the importance of equipment maintenance and programming skills.
